Description: | An incomplete cast copper alloy probable dress hook dating to the Early Medieval period. The object consists of a single sheet of copper alloy and is leaf shaped in plan. It is decorated with two ring-and-dot motifs in the centre and the remains of a third motif to the right had side. It is likely that another ring-and-dot motif would have decorated the left hand side forming asymmetrical decoration. The hook of the object has broken away. The object has a light green patina. A similar example which can be found on the database is Oakden, V (2012) LVPL-D7F7E1 A EARLY MEDIEVAL DRESS HOOK Webpage available at: http://finds.org.uk/database/artefacts/record/id/483483.
