Description: | A silver hammered 20 pence of Charles I (1625-49). The coin is pierced at 10 o'clock on the obverse. Mint not known. Obverse shows a crowned bust facing left with XX behind the head. The obverse legend reads CAR DG SCOT ANG FRA ET HIB R. The reverse shows a crowned thistle. The reverse legend reads IVS IN LA THRONVM FIRMAT. Diameter: 15.55mm. Thickness: 0.47mm. Weight: 0.6g. Die axis: 7 o'clock.
