Description: | A silver denarius of the emperor Nero dating to the period AD 64-65. Reece Period 3. The obverse depicts a laureate head facing right and is inscribed [NERO CAESAR] AVGVSTVS. The reverse depicts Jupiter seated left holding a thunderbolt and sceptre and is inscribed [IVPPITER CVSTOS]. Mint of Rome. RIC vlI p153 cf no 53.
