Description: | A thin silver finger rings with 11 facets on the outer face of the band. The object is circular in plan and has no visible hall marks. It is most likely to date from the late 18th or early 19th century and is therefore unlikely to be more than 300 years old. As such this item is not Treasure.A similar gold example which can be found on the database is Griffiths, R (2009) YORYM-57E0F4 A POST MEDIEVAL FINGER RING Webpage available at: http://finds.org.uk/database/artefacts/record/id/273517. While a silver parallel is Cassidy, J (2009) NARC-EC8B41 A MODERN FINGER RING Webpage available at: http://finds.org.uk/database/artefacts/record/id/265699. Both of these examples have eight facets rather than the 11 which occur on this example.
