A certificate Presented by the Corporation of South Shields to Elizabeth Weighell (born 1909) in commemoration of the conclusion of the First World War. It is likely that these certificates were given to all school children to commemorate the First World War. Councillor Thomas Sykes the mayor can be seen along with the Town Hall. There is also the Wouldhave Memorial with lifeboat commemorating Wouldhave's design. South Shields Coat of Arms with motto 'Always Ready' are there while the thistle, rose and daffodil are woven into the design.
