Wet drug jar of ovoid shape with handle and spout, buff earthenware with a white tin-glaze, painted in blue, green, yellow, orange and manganese with a heradic crest and leafy scrolls. Flared foot, with thick loop handle, short spout and tall, wide neck with everted rim. White tin-glaze painted in-glaze on spout side only, with a shield bearing the arms of the Caracciolo, Orsini and Carrufa families of Naples, against by a double-headed eagle surmounted by large yellow crown. Eagle flanked on either side by ornate leafy scrolls and putti, in blue, green and yellow. Plain band round lower body inscribed SYR STECADIS in blue. Applied yellow rib above foot, foot and spout both picked out in blue scrolls. Neck rim banded in yellow and blue.
