Description: | A reproduction produced by the Vasari Society of a drawing by Antony Van Dyck. The drawing shows a portrait of a man from the waist upwards. The man is facing forwards with his torso but his head to turned and looking towards the right. He is wearing contemporary dress and has a cap on his head. His left hand is held against his torso on the left side of the composition.

The original study for the etching (Wibiral 10), which reverses the figure. Very little essential variation is made in transferring the design to the plate, beyond the addition of a cloud of heavy shading behind the left shoulder (right in the drawing). A copy of the etching was made by Peter de Jode (Wibiral 37).
