Description: | A reproduction produced by the Vasari Society of a drawing from the French School. The drawing shows an artist seated on the floor with legs straight out, with his back to the viewer. His hair is tied back and he is wearing a hat. He is holding a palette in one hand and a brush in the other, painting a large canvas that stands in front of him. The details of the painting he is working on are roughly sketched; one can make out a face, possibly of a child, near the centre.
