Description: | Circassian sword with a blade etched to simulate watered steel with a double edge at the end. A Persian stamp appears on a small sunk panel near the hilt. The quillons of the handle are drooping down, double on the inside and single on the outside of the hilt. The one on the outside is broken and cut off. The guard of the hilt is shaped to fit the hand and little finger. The work is engraved in silver and parcel gilt. The silver has niello ornament in panels inside and out of the hilt. The rest of the work is gilt with raised floral ornaments. The scabbard is of plain bown leather with gilt and niello ornaments corresponding to the hilt, with loops for the sabretache.
