The handle is of silver, terminating in a dome-shaped fluted pommel with ornamental bands. A Government stamp is raised in the silver in the hilt where it runs into the scabbard. The sheath is in silver, richly ornamented with floral patterns of European character terminating in a pierced ornament with the exception of about 7.6cm which is bound with black leather.
