Figure of St Francis and a wolf on flat squared oval plinth, made from red earthenware decorated with an off-white majolica glaze. Each of the figures are looking towards one another, Saint Francis leaning down towards the wolf with his left arm stretched out to above the wolf's head, right arm pointing downwards holding wolf's right ankle. Saint Francis wears a long flowing hooded monk's habit with deep folds to skirts, long knotted rope belt, round skull cap with brown painted rim, brown painted goatee style beard. Wolf sitting with front left leg to the ground, front right leg outstretched, tail curled around right side. Incised marks, pendulous mouldings and brown brushmarks representing fur, oversized ears and snout.
