Dolmetsch recorders were later mass produced by Boosey & Hawkes. This recorder was donated by Dr Dolmetsch on the occasion of a concert given by the Dolmetsch family at the Horniman Museum in 1987.
Descant recorder made from 'Dolonite', a type of Bakelite. In three sections: head joint, main joint and foot joint. The recorder has two double holes for the lower notes, enabling accidentals to be played more easily.
