Description: | King of Benin scabbard
Knife sheath from Nigeria. The sheath has a structure of wood and the outer surface is covered with dark leather at the top, a section of light-coloured hide in the middle and the tip is covered in snake skin. The leather section has a loop for the belt. There is also plaited straw decoration and binding.
