Description: | Short sword, single-edged / curved blade. Hilt of brass / and cane. Wooden sheath. / Shan states, upper Burma / 6-4-59/20
Long rectangular shaped sheath, made of two pieces of wood, forming a circular section at the hilt end and flattening towards the tip, bound at the top and bottom with broad brass metal bands, the lower band with a row of punched dots, and bound at regular intervals in between with three narrow brass strips with punched decoration, with two similar narrow strips over the top brass band and one over the bottom brass band at the end. The wooden sheath is lacquered alternately red and black between the narrow brass strips.
