Description: | An almost complete cast copper-alloy belt or harness mount dating to the third century AD. The object consists of a flat openwork plate in the form of a pelta. The mount has two curved arms with incurving knopped terminals, and a central section projecting between the two arms. The central arm has a trilobed terminal. At the rear of the object are four incomplete lugs for attachment.
